Faith Matters: What Is The Right Way To Pray?

I stumbled on this community last week and I hope my question will be treated with the same seriousness as the last one. I am a recent convert to Christianity and I am still struggling with a lot of things. The biggest one however is prayer. The bible says we should pray without ceasing yet some TV evangelist said that praying for the same thing over and over again is a lack of faith. He also said that telling God what you need is like asking your father for the things he knows he should provide. I have been saying the Lord’s Prayer but it seems it was just a guideline to how we should pray. Should I pray loudly, should I pray quietly? And are there particular words I should say? I am confused please help.
