The future will be built on the ideas of the dreamers. Will you become one of the architects or will you sit by idly and just react to whatever life and others throw your way? Know that your dreams are possible if you believe in them strongly enough, and it all starts in the mind.
Dreams do not come easily; they require a lot of sacrifices, you will lose friends, and your sanity will be questioned but all these won’t matter as long as you have enough faith in your dream. If you do, you will get back up when get knocked down. You will persist through challenges with fierce determination. Keep going on your journey with your full heart. Keep pursuing your dreams and find a way to never ever give up. In my favourite movie of all time, The Pursuit Of Happyness, Chris Gardener (Will Smith) tells his son “Don’t ever let someone tell you you can’t do something! Not even me!. . . .You got a dream, you gotta protect it! People who can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can’t do it. You want something? Go get it. Period!”
What I love about this movie is that Chris Gardner heeds his own advice, even though he seems trapped in an inescapable maze. Constantly down but never out, he refuses to slink away and abandon his dream. His quest becomes a frantic chase; rushing to catch buses, arriving late at sales calls, picking up his son from daycare, tracking down a bone scanner that some hippies stole from him, securing a place to sleep in a homeless shelter. But homelessness is never depicted—or regarded—as more than a transient condition. And Chris Gardner is always in transit; everywhere he goes, he is running.
Surround yourself with the dream team. Together, the journey towards your dream will be less solitary and even more incredible. The people we choose to surround ourselves with often matter a great deal to our success especially when we are chasing a dream because spending time alongside other motivated and successful people can have positive effects on our own success.
And lastly believe in yourself. Your vision of yourself and your life is your greatest asset. So make it a good one and use it wisely. Choosing to believe you can succeed will drive you and inspire you (the way an athlete trains for years because they believe they can win in the Olympics) because your perspective creates your thoughts and your thoughts create everything.
Your strongest thoughts have constructed who you are now. Who you are in the future is up to you. Imagine a world in which you know what your dream is and know that you can achieve it. Take steps actively towards reaching your dream and even when you meet challenges; do not doubt that you will get there in the end. It can be difficult and there may be moments of doubt. But deep down, it is the belief in yourself that will keep you working towards your dreams because who you are and will become is up to you. The reality is you are in full control of your life. So you are the only one who can achieve your dreams. No one else will do them for you. So believe you can achieve those dreams and you will.
